East Coast to Greers Ferry
Richmond, VA → Outer Banks → Everglades → Mississippi → Arkansas


Pick up Hudson and Huxley. Full crew assembled. Toddy rides shotgun as always.

First stop on the coast. Beach day. Boys hit the water.

Down through the Outer Banks. Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge. Drive the barrier island all the way south to the Ocracoke ferry.

Ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke. July 4th on a remote island with no cars. Fireworks, ocean, the whole crew. This is the content.

REST DAY. Explore the island. No cars, no rush. Let the boys run.

Third day on the island. Ferry out tomorrow. Slow morning.

Ferry from Ocracoke to Cedar Island then drive to Beaufort. Marina town, waterfront, good food. One night in a real town.
Second night in Beaufort. Walk the waterfront. Explore the town.
Back roads south through SC and Georgia. No highway. Heading toward the Everglades.
Top of the Everglades. Captain Steve's Buggy Adventures — snake hunting and swamp buggies. This is a must.
Second day in the Everglades. More buggy time if available. Let the boys explore.
Cut through Okefenokee on the way northwest. Dark water, Spanish moss, cypress trees. Pass through, don't linger.
Gulf Coast panhandle drive into Biloxi. Travis's sister's place. Gulf breeze, good food, family time.
Day with sister. REST.
Last day in Biloxi. Head out tomorrow.
Scenic drive northwest through Natchez. Mississippi River bluffs, antebellum town. Pass through — don't need to stop long.
Pass through Hot Springs on the way to Greers Ferry. National park in a small city. Bathhouse Row. Quick stop.
Arrive at Greers Ferry Lake. Base camp for the week. The boys' home stretch.
REST DAY. Lake, fishing, swimming, nothing on purpose.
